Completed during the artist residency at the Worcester Art Museum

This work was inspired by a photo I had taken of Vietnamese model, Trang Khieu, in my studio years ago. The pose reminded me of John Singer Sargent's work. Now, at the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts, along with trips to the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) and the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum in Boston, I've been able to examine Sargent's work more closely and bring what was once a notion into a a finished work.
