The Thin Blonde Line

The Thin Blonde Line is a painting installation of watercolor on silk where the hair transforms from two to three dimensional space. Also placed among the numerous paintings of imagined women in the exhibition that served as muses for the modernist masters, I imagine that at least some of their muses while in Europe were non-Asian. The title of the work is a counterpoint to the other installation in the exhibition, The Thin Black Line.

Included in the exhibition, Departures.
